					I got another swap in the mail today and this time it was a
					bunch of American coins.  Mostly quarters (there are a lot of
					them) but also some nickels and a new NIFC dollar coin (Treaty
					with the Delawares mintmark P).  For brevities sake I won’t
					list out all the new coins here by name, but in total I managed
					to get a whopping 35 new additions to my collection!

					Keeping with the momentum of the past few days I decided to
					have another go at the €1 denomination.  For the most part
					the 20 rolls were very boring, but one of them got me a
					German coin from 2008 with the ‘F’ mintmark.  Not only is it
					a new NIFC for my collection, but it marks the 8@sup{-th}
					mintmark I’ve found this week!

					Also as if to make it even better, the coin deposit machines
					had €5.24 euros lying in the return trays.  That’s almost
					enough money to cover the costs of withdrawing all the rolls
					I hunted through.

					I did a quick €1 coin hunt today.  Usually this is a rather
					dull denomination to hunt, but this time that was definitely
					not the case.  I managed to grab myself 4 new dates (with 3
					of them being NIFCs!).  The finds were: France 2006 (NIFC),
					Germany 2005 D (NIFC), Monaco 2016, and Netherlands 2013
					(NIFC).

					So it’s later in the day and I decided to get some more coin
					rolls and hunt some €2- and 50c coins.  It’s a really good
					thing I did because I got 4 new finds.  These are Germany €2
					2024 J, Greece 50c 2003, Italy 50c 2017, and the best find
					of the entire day… Portugal 50c 2012 (NIFC!).  I am super
					happy to have found that Portuguese NIFC, they are certainly
					one of the most rare NIFCs to find!

					Today I met up with The_Fighter from the Euro-Coins discord
					server!  We had a nice time in the Hague and he got me 3 new
					German coins.  Those coins were 2024-J 1c, and the
					‘Paulskirchenverfassung’ commemorative coin with mintmarks D
					and J.  With these new additions I have now fully completed
					the German commemorative mintmarks for the first time!

					Quick update for yesterday.  I went to the coin deposit
					machine to deposit the leftovers of my previous hunts, and
					decided to do a quick €2 hunt while the coins were
					depositing (the deposit machine is very slow).  During this
					hunt I found some great doubles, and I also found €2 Germany
					2005 F, an NIFC that is new for my collection!

					Today I had an absolute monster of a hunt.  I hunted through
					20 rolls of 50c coins and this resulted in a monster result
					of 2 NIFCs, 1 Proof-NIFC, and two new dates.  These finds

					From the 13@sup{-th} to the 14@sup{-th} of this month the
					second ‘official’ Eurocoins meetup took place in Madrid.
					The first meetup occured in Frankfurt and the related
					changelog entry is @a href="#02-10-2023" {-here}.  Just like
					that meetup, this meetup was great and saw a lot of new
					additions to my collection!  I spent most of my time in
					Madrid just doing general tourism as opposed to active
					hunting, but despite that my collection got a huge boost as
					you’ll see in this changelog entry.

					After the Madrid meetup my collection grew by 114 coins (88
					standard issues, 26 commemorative issues) and 16 banknotes!
					Additionally this included 3 new NIFC coins and 3 testnotes.
					With these new additions I also now have completed my
					collection of testnotes with the exception of the
					exceptionally rare €5 NIFC note.

					I got some mail again today, this time from Eurosthetics
					from the Euro-Coins Discord Server.  In this swap I got a
					bunch of great additions to my Finnish collection, with €1

					Alongside this I also got €2 2014 and the Jean Sibelius
					commemorative coin.

					So I had a meetup today with Michael from Germany, in the city of
					Zandvoort.  During the meetup he got me a €200 2002 note from Austria
					with the signature of Wim Duisenberg.  He also got me the new
					Mecklenburg-Vorpommern commemorative with mintmarks A & D, and the new
					Paulskirchenverfassung commemorative with mintmark A.  At the end of
					our meeting he gave me some German rolls in which I found the
					Alessandro Manzoni coin.  Overall, pretty good day.

					which is a double NIFC for me.  The 50 cent coins were more eventful

					two actual new finds in the form of Spain 2020 and Germany 2022 A.

					I just got back from a week-long trip to Portugal.  I’m a bit tired so
					I won’t write too much.  In Portugal I got myself a few neat finds.
					These include 5c 2023 and 20c 2020 both from Portugal, as well as 3
					new €20 banknotes (2 of them being 2002 notes).  I also got 50c 2022
					from the Vatican City in my change which was awesome.

					I also found Mecklenburg-Vorpommern from Germany with the mintmark J
					finally.  This now makes Mecklenburg-Vorpommern with mintmark A the
					only German commemorative I am missing pre-2024.

					realize it’s a circulated proof!

					Today I did a pretty large 40 roll hunt of €2 coins and I am quite
					happy that I made that decision.  This hunt I managed to get myself
					the 2023 Greek commemorative dedicated to Maria Callas.  I also got
					two microstate coins in the form of Monaco 2011 and Andorra 2022, with
					the latter being a new find for myself.  On top of that I got Spain
					2007, a new year for me — Germany 2005 D, a duplicate NIFC year —
					Germany 2002 A and Netherlands 2002 proofs, both new — and a bunch of
					rare doubled coins for future trades!

					coin-hunting, but I still got some nice finds.  At a Bratwurst stand I
					got a Monaco €2 2019 in my change which was cool, but a duplicate for
					me.  I also got a 2002 €10 note when purchasing a sparkling water at
					the Central Station Kiosk.  It was German with the signature of Wim
					Duisenberg, and it @em{-was} new!

					new find this time.  I got two German 2023 coins with mintmarks F and

					There was more mail in the day today, and this time from Ireland!  As
					part of this swap I got 3 new banknotes and 11 new coins, 1 of them
					being a commemorative.

					The new banknotes are all 2002-series notes.  I got a €20 from
					Slovakia (MD), a €50 from Ireland (WD), and a €50 from Spain (WD).

					The new commemorative coin I got was the 2023 Irish commemorative for
					EU membership.  The rest of the coins are Irish dates that I was
					missing.  They are: 1c 2014, 10c 2012–2013, 20c 2012–2014, €1 2015, €2
					2017–2018 & 2019.

					Today I went to the coin roll machine to get myself 20 rolls of €1
					coins.  When I was there, I came across an older couple that was
					struggling to get their coins deposited.  Being the nice individual I
					am, I helped them out by buying their coins from them for face value
					(I transferred the total value to their bank account).  It’s a good
					thing I did that too, because their small number of coins actually
					yielded me 3 new finds!  Those finds were Belgium 5c 2019, Germany 20c
					2023 (D), and Netherlands 20c 2023.

					replacement.  I also completely reworked the compiler for this site

					I got 6 finds, and 3 of them were new.  The coins I got were: Andorra

					Netherlands 1999 (Proof), and Netherlands 2015 (NIFC).  The 2005 coin

					‘official’ meetup of the Euro-Coins Discord Server.  It was a really
					great experience, and guys came from all over Europe to meet up.
					During the meet we exchanged coin rolls and did some trades, and I
					have @em{-a lot} of new stuff to add to the site!  I’d love to credit
					each person individually, but there was just a lot of people and it’s
					hard to track exactly what came from whom.

					last one!  In total I had 4 new finds and a nice keeper.  The keeper
					was a Dutch coin from 2004 with a mintage of 300K.  I already have
					this coin so I will probably give it to someone else.  My actual finds
					were: Finland 1999, Italy 2022, Spain 2010, and best of all… Germany
					2007 (F)!  The German 50c is my 4@sup{-th} German NIFC (all the others
					are also 50c) and my first German NIFC with the second map!

					I did a €1000 hunt of €2 coins today.  It started very slow with
					almost no finds, but of the few finds I got, they were of quality!
					The hunt got me 5 new standard-issue coins and 2 new
					commemorative-issue coins.  The standard-issue coins are: Germany 2014
					(A), Germany 2017 (A), France 2020, Finland 2004, and… @em{-Finland
					2015!} The Finnish €2 coin from 2015 has a mintage of only
					@em{-169,100!}  The commemorative-issue coins were: France ‘Erasmus
					Programme’ and Greece ‘EU Flag’.  The Greek commemorative has a
					mintage of ~750,000.

					Today I visited the Ġgantija Temples and did a quick shop hunt
					afterwards!  There was a souvenir shop right across the street from
					the temple and I asked to take a look at their €2 coins.  In the
					cashier I managed to find another Maltese commemorative!  This one was
					the ‘The Peace’ commemorative from 2017… and it also had the coincard
					mintmarks making it a 30K mintage NIFC!  That’s why it’s not yet
					listed on the site; the coincard variants will be added in a future
					update.

					Today I spent the day exploring Valletta along with ‘La Maltese’

					{-Euro Coins discord server}.  To our meeting he was kind enough to
					bring a few new Maltese 1c coins for me from 2013, 2017, and 2021.  He
					also got me 2 rolls of €2 coins from which I got Italy €2 2018,
					Germany €2 2014 (D), and most excitingly of all, the Maltese ‘Nature &
					Environment’ €2 commemorative!

					At the end of the day I did a vending machine hunt in Valletta which
					yielded me four new Maltese €1 coins from the years 2016, 2019, 2020,
					and 2021.  It also yielded me two Maltese temple commemoratives!
					‘Sadly’ one of them was a duplicate for me, the Ħaġar Qim Temples
					coin.  The other temple coin was for the Ġgantija Temples which I
					thought was also a duplicate, but I later realized that it had the
					same mintmarks around the year that is found on the variants sold in
					coincards.  That made that coin an NIFC find with a mintage of only
					30K!

					This was a pretty successful day with a lot of new finds!  Firstly,
					before my flight to Malta from Pisa I did some vending machine
					hunting.  This yielded me with a 2021 Vatican 50c coin which wasn’t

					It’s another mail day!  In the mail today was the Wolf €2
					commemorative from Estonia and a bicentennial Ike Dollar from Denver.
					I already had the wolf coin in UNC condition, but this is a collection

					is also great to have; it’s the last bicentennial coin I need besides
					the NIFC proofs.

					I have finally done it, I’ve found a way to hunt coins in the
					Netherlands without purchasing bankrolls or going to a casino!  There
					is a Spar on the campus of my ex-university.  This Spar is special
					because it has something that I’ve never before seen in this cashless
					dystopia — a self-checkout machine that accepts cash!

					I don’t know how it didn’t come to my mind earlier but by creating a
					false purchase of high value (maybe €500 for example) and then dumping
					all your coins in the coin funnel you can then cancel the purchase and
					get your coins back, except it’s not the same coins, but different
					coins of the same denominations!

					What this in effect means is that I can go and just put my coins in
					this self-checkout machine and then cancel my order in a cycle while
					getting new coins every cycle.  I did this for the first time today
					and got 3 new finds!  Two of the finds were regular issue 20c coins,
					Germany 2008 (F) and France 2020.  The other find was a commemorative
					issue in the form of the Dutch Erasmus Programme coin!

					So today was mail day, and it was another American coin.  I got a
					bicentennial Ike Dollar; it’s certainly one of the biggest coins I’ve
					ever held (maybe the biggest ever).  It has no mintmark, so it’s a
					Philadelphia dollar.  This also means that once I get the version with
					the Denver mintmark I’ll have all circulating bicentennial coins from
					the USA!

					The state quarters were California (D), Pennsylvania (P), and Rhode
					Island (D).  The district quarter was my second district quarter so
					far, a Puerto Rico (P).  Finally, the ‘Westward Journey’ nickel was a

					Today was pretty successful.  I passed by Chase Bank near closing
					hours and it was a good thing I did too.  The customer right before me
					in the line to the teller deposited $10 in dollar coins.  I bought
					them from the bank and got two new finds: a ‘Great Law of Peace’
					native-american dollar from Philadelphia, and a Herbert Hoover NIFC
					presidential dollar from Philadelphia.
